Last year Novitas advised on the sale of
Popcorn Training, a South African computer-based training company, to Florida-based KnowBe4, the world’s largest security training platform; and eShare, a UK-based business-to-business software company, to New York-based Diligent Corporation. We also embarked on a long-term relationship with the PURA Beverage Company, an exciting new better-for-you carbonated soft drink brand. Novitas advised PURA on its Series-A round of funding from Knife Capital and is looking forward to playing a role in launching a new global beverage brand.
Regardless of the industry sector, location of the parties or type of transaction, we pride ourselves on understanding our clients’ unique value drivers, identifying the right buyers / investors, and then negotiating a deal that provides our client with full value and the counter-party with a fair transaction that meets their needs.
The combined transaction value of these three deals was R660 million, cementing our position in the mid-market space.
Looking ahead to 2019, we’re already at an advanced stage in taking a number of high-quality companies to market and are looking forward to another exciting year
Current clients include a market-leading online travel booking platform, digital media house, omnichannel retailer and a transport & logistics business. At least three of these businesses are well-suited to international buyers looking to enter the South African market and we’re looking forward to scouring the globe for the right group of buyers or investors that are able to maximize the value of the opportunity and provide our client with the best possible outcome.
